FAQs

Who are the M.A.D. classes for?

Our classes are designed for adults who want to gain control over angry feelings, improve communication, and reduce conflict—whether at home, at work, or in social situations. You do not need a clinical diagnosis to attend. Many participants are professionals, parents, or partners simply looking to build healthier emotional habits.

What if I miss a class?

We understand that life happens. While we encourage attending all sessions for the full benefit, missing one class won't disqualify you. If possible, let us know in advance so we can share relevant materials or help you stay on track. We also offer individual sessions as make-ups.

Is this therapy? Will my insurance cover it?

The M.A.D. class is considered an educational program, not psychotherapy. Because of that, it is not covered by insurance. However, some participants choose to attend both M.A.D. classes and individual therapy, which may be covered separately under their plan.

How is this different from traditional anger management?

M.A.D. is based on neuroscience and modern psychological research—not outdated “venting” methods. We focus on emotional mastery, cognitive-behavioral tools, and real-time skill building. You’ll laugh, reflect, and practice proven strategies in a safe and supportive group setting.

What happens after the class ends?

You’ll leave with a personalized anger management plan and the skills to use it. Many participants report improved relationships and lower stress after just six weeks. For those who want continued growth, we offer M.A.D. 2—a follow-up class for graduates to deepen their skills.

What materials are included?

Enrollment includes a workbook, over 100 pages of handouts, interactive group exercises, and additional resources curated by your instructor. These materials are yours to keep and continue using after the program ends.

How do I register?

You can contact us directly or visit our Schedule of Events page to see the next class start date. M.A.D. classes are held Tuesday evenings from 5:30 pm to 7:00 pm via secure video conference. Early registration is recommended as space is limited.
